7 Sim Lane is a lot that appears in The Sims in neighborhood 1. At the start of the game, it is owned by Bob and Betty Newbie, and is presumed to be the house where Brandi Broke grew up.
The home has one floor. It also, has a kitchenette and living room with a cheap television set. The lot itself is quite large, even though the house itself is rather small. Interestingly, the house contains a microwave, while a stove is notably absent from the kitchen. This may be due to the fact that in The Sims, microwaves and stoves have the same functionality. There are also no couches or living chairs near the television, so Sims on the lot will have to sit at the dining table. The house also has the cheapest furnishings that are available in buy mode, which means that the mood of the Newbie family can be hard to keep high, due to the furnishings offering low and slow motive satisfaction. This could be an intentional move by the developers, who may have intended for the player work hard in order to upgrade the Newbie's furnishings, thus upgrading their motive gain and mood.
