An oil puddle is a de facto object in The Sims 3: Into the Future. As of 19 December 2023, an oil puddle can only be created in unmodded gameplay in one known way: If a Plumbot with the Fear of Humans trait chip sees a nearby human, they are very likely to "wet" themselves by creating an oil puddle, faint on the floor, and/or run away in complete panic.
The oil puddle can be cleaned up, but cannot be splashed in.
No other activities or scenarios in the The Sims 3 era, not even oil- or SimBot-related ones, are known to produce an oil puddle; SimBots[TS3:A] will instead wet themselves with the normal clear fluid puddle that other non-Plumbot species would also produce.
