Splitting into separate articles
At 100,000 bytes, this is the 33rd longest page on the wiki, and it seems prime to be split into multiple articles, especially with the myriad of images on the page that makes it difficult for users with weaker devices to load the page.
The easiest solution is to split the article by game:
- Cut content (The Sims)
- Cut content (The Sims 2)
- Cut content (The Sims 3)
- Cut content (The Sims 4)
- Cut content (The Sims: Bustin' Out)
- Cut content (The Urbz: Sims in the City)
- etc.
This page could then act as a disambiguation page linking to the split articles.

- I'm in full agreement with this, with one caveat. I don't think any spinoff game has enough cut content to warrant separate pages, meaning their page could simply be Cut content (console titles) or something along those lines. You could then shove TS3 Wii's cut stuff there too, as I'm sure the TS3 page would be long enough without it. GraysonKP talk to me - see what I've done 22:26, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
- I agree with this, as I am also researching tons of cut content for the games (eventually, some titles not even listed here), and the page is only going to get even longer from here on out. In addition, it takes awhile to load the page editor.
- On the topic of console titles, The Sims 3 (Wii) has enough content to be split from The Sims 3 (PC)'s section, and The Sims 3: Pets (console) cut content section also has a long story summary of a cut mystery revision that's only obscured by a collapsible table, so some sections are longer than others. I do think a console page is warranted, though admittedly it does not feel right to lump Urbz cut content with, let's say, The Sims 3: Pets (console). - Sprunglesque (talk) 22:38, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
- Also in agreement; would definitely help with load times and whatnot. IFanon (talk) 00:18, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
- I vote yes. Whether to use the proposed page titles, or to use slash titles used for opportunity and Television pages, is a 50:50 in my eyes. I had planned to unilaterally split off Sims 3 info to a separate page, but was worried about the sheer amount of links on other pages I'd have to change from "Cut content" to "Cut content (The Sims 3)", since after all there's an extreme amount of cut content in Sims 3. I agree it would make it easier to read the pages. Veronaville (talk) 13:22, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
