A tractor is a slow vehicle typically associated with farming.
The Sims Bustin' Out (handheld)
A tractor can be seen on Hayseed Farm. At the start of the game the tractor is broken, and the Sim can fix it to improve the handiness skill. Once it has been fixed, the Sim can "Admire" it as if it was a sculpture, but they cannot drive the tractor.
After completing mission 2-6, "Movin' Out", Uncle Hayseed parks the tractor in front of The Barn, so that the player Sim cannot access the barn anymore.

The Grandpa's Grove Tractor is a vehicle on The Sims 3 Store, available as part of the Grandpa's Grove Tractor set for 733 SimPoints. It functions similarly to the The Sims 3 Store gondola and rollercoaster, in the sense that it is only able to drive on paths determined by objects.
Sims can do a "Hay Ride" with the tractor, and it can also fertilize or water nearby plants, and can vacuum nearby harvestable plants plants towards it, potentially speeding up mass harvests.
