Arcade games are objects in The Sims: Vacation, The Sims 2: University, The Sims 3: Late Night, and The Sims 4: Get Together. Arcade games help fill the fun motive.

The Sims

The Sims: Vacation added two new arcade games that could be played both on home and community lots. If played on a community lot, it will cost the playing Sim a few Simoleons. Up to two Sims can play at a time, and both children and adults can play.

The arcade machine may occasionally "freeze on startup" when a Sim plays it. The Sim will pound at the machine a couple of times before the machine crashes. This is not permanent or serious, and the machine can be used again. However, if this occurred on a community lot, Sims will not get a refund.

The Urbz: Sims in the City

Arcade machines are present in South Side Bridge, Gasoline Row, and Central Station. Playing it is free of charge, and Sims may even want to play it autonomously.

The Sims 2

The Sims 2: University expansion pack introduced two new arcade games. Sims can play on the games both on residential and community lots. Sims will be charged §1 each time they play a game.

If The Sims 2: FreeTime is installed, playing an arcade game will raise enthusiasm for the Games hobby.

The Sims 3

The Sims 3 introduced three arcade games in Late Night, one in Katy Perry's Sweet Treats, two in Supernatural, one in 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff, another three in University Life, one more in Into the Future, and several more in The Sims 3 Store. Sims can play on both residential and community lots.

All such objects are found in Buy Mode, primarily in "Electronics" → "Misc."

Children and older can play on arcade machines. Child Sims will stand on a small stool in order to reach the buttons.
