David Thompson is one of the pre-made NPC carpool drivers residing in Pleasantview, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2, and custom neighborhoods. The other two carpool drivers are Celeste Rossi and Amber Hiatt. He is the most common carpool driver of the three. Like all carpool drivers, he can't be made playable without cheats. His first name comes from the name of his voice actor, David Boat. When he appears in custom neighborhoods, his personality, interests, and skills will be different from those he has in Pleasantview, seen below. He has the same facial structure as Komei Tellerman.
David is a Romance Sim with the Libra zodiac sign. As far as personality, he is very neat, quite active, and somewhat outgoing, but he is somewhat grouchy and extremely serious. When it comes to skills, he has very close to maximizing body, and is on his way towards maximizing cooking. He is mostly interested in Environment, Weather, Paranormal, and Sports. He can easily be cloned in Create a Sim with debugging mode on.
