| Piper has been a part of the town before it was really a town. He hitched a ride aboard a ship across the sea and hunted on the shore before men had built the first building. Piper caught mice at the Goth Manor when the doors were barred. Now the spectral cat stalks spectral prey visible only to him, occasionally taking time to spook a local dog. Piper Pixel is a pre-made deceased cat who resided in Sugar Maple Coast from The Sims 3: Pets for console. She is buried at Gilman Hill Graveyard.
According to her biography, she was a stray cat that somehow found herself aboard one of the original ships that docked at the town before its official establishment. She proved her usefulness by hunting invasive insects and mice that annoyed the crew and house builders. Even in death, she continues to hunt, now stalking the ghosts of the prey she once hunted in life.
Piper has pre-existing relationships with every pet in Sugar Maple Coast, though she does not appear in their respective relationship panels until they interact with her. She is also listed as female, which contradicts her biography; this may not be accidental, as "Piper" is typically a female name. She shares this discrepancy with BaBa Marshall.
A purchasable statue of Piper is able to be unlocked during the Just Nine Lives to Live mystery, although she is never required to be encountered during its storyline, nor is she mentioned. Additionally, in cut chapters of The Socialite Club, a ghost cat that requires a fish before it can be approached is mentioned; it is possible this cat was intended to be Piper.
