A rock, stone, or boulder, is a pseudo-decorative object throughout the Sims franchise made of hardened minerals and which come in various shapes. They are prominently found in Build Mode in all mainline Sims games, and are just as prominent in Edit Town mode in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. Special types of decorative or interactive rocks can sporadically be found in Buy Mode and BuyDebug as well.
They seldom provide Environment or Decoration values,[note 1] but form important parts of lot building and occasionally also worlds' lores.
Various combinations of rocks can be used to create waterfalls with the BuyDebug fog emitter.[TS3]
Some statues and fountains may contain significant stone elements in them, but those are generally not covered on this page.
