Smart is a pet trait featured in The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs. It is only available to dogs and it has no conflicts. There is a similar cat trait called Clever.

These bright dogs are easier to train and pick up tricks quickly. They might even understand Simlish!

• Smart dogs will learn commands faster, and unlearn bad behaviors faster.

Bugs

• The Smart trait for dogs and Clever trait for cats does not stick unless the trait comes with the breed e.g. Poodle. Similar bug occurs if both Poodles breed and have a Poodle puppy, leaving the puppy to have only two traits.
• The trait conflicts with three traits and needs to be removed before equipping the Smart/Clever trait again:
