Batuu^[1] is a destination world shipped with The Sims 4: Journey to Batuu. It is a desert planet in a distant galaxy with three suns and two moons and is based on the world Batuu from StarWars.

Description

This remote outpost on the galaxy’s edge was once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes, but its prominence was bypassed by the rise of hyperspace travel. Now home to those who prefer to stay out of the mainstream, it has become a thriving port for smugglers, rogue traders, and adventurers traveling between the frontier and uncharted space. It was once a safe haven for those intent on avoiding the expanding reach of the First Order, but the struggle between the First Order and the Resistance has made it's way to Batuu.

There are three non-editable lots in Batuu, one for each neighborhood. These lots can only be edited during gameplay with the bb.enablefreebuild cheat and they cannot be edited through manage worlds. All other locations in Batuu are rabbit holes that the player can visit.

Seasons

With Seasons installed, Batuu will feature warm and partly cloudy weather all year round with no rain or snow.

Real-World Inspirations

Etymology

Batuu is entirely based on a fictional remote planet in the Star Wars universe with the same name. The name origin of "Batuu" itself is unknown.

Settings & Cultural Influences

Batuu is based on the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge themed area of Disneyland at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, and Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Trivia

Batuu is the only world featured in The Sims series to also exist in another franchise (Star Wars). All other worlds in The Sims games exclusively belongs to The Sims series.
Batuu is the second location in The Sims 4 to be on another planet, the first being Sixam.
Batuu is the only non-hidden world in The Sims series without any editable lots. Previously, the only locations that exclusively had non-editable lots were hidden worlds or neighborhoods.
Unlike previous vacation worlds in The Sims 4, travelling to Batuu is free of charge. There is also no requirement to rent a lot to stay in or a time limit spent on Batuu.
Any occult at Batuu will be unable to use any powers or abilities they have.
