— Burple in The Sims 2 for GBA
|
Burple is an alien who appears in The Sims 2 for Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS. He is described as hot-tempered, and at one point, even threatens to devour the player's Sims' brain. Unlike Emperor Xizzle and all the other aliens in the game, Burple is very easy to understand, due to a rare alien speech impediment.
The Sims 2 (GBA)
Burple is an alien actor who was hired by Daddy Bigbucks, who finds his antics hilarious. Since Burple got to Strangetown early, he stays hidden in the player's house at first. He can first be found reading the newspaper on the toilet. When asked "What's up", he responds that he was looking to see the new Zaffbarg Skiffle Oolong film, but concludes that it might not be playing on this planet since he can't find a listing for it in the paper. One of the plot points in the tutorial episode It All Began is to intimidate him to get him off the toilet.
During the episode A Brand New Scent, Burple claims that Emperor Xizzle is his uncle Bibble and translates for him. In The Doomed Earth, he is in the beginning cutscenes as Emperor Xizzle tries to get him off of Earth before it is destroyed. He is notably referred to as a "secret agent."
In It All Came to an End, Burple has the player do the errand for the episode of giving Emperor Xizzle his ray gun.
And finally, during the mission A Very Special Reunion, Burple is inhabiting Tank Grunt's house, and the player will have to pay him 500 Simoleons to make him leave. He complains about not being able to find the barracks' toilet and will act hostile to the player if talked to before the player talks to Tank. These are references to the first mission in the game.
The Sims 2 (Nintendo DS)
Burple can show up as one of the aliens that can invade the player's hotel. He is the main alien that shows up during invasions, although if the player neglects to deal with an invasion, the following aliens can also show up:

Trivia
- Burple has a secret, character profile, and model within the code of The Sims 2 (Nintendo DS) that goes unused.
- He is referred to as "Alien" rather than his actual name, but his biography and secret are identical to those in The Sims 2 for GBA.
- Data-wise, this is a completely separate character from the Burple that invades the player's hotel. This version of Burple, when spawned in, won't do anything but stand. However, it will still react (shrink and disappear) when sprayed with water.
