Jane Stacks is a pre-made playable Sim studying at Sim State University, one of the university sub-neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2: University. She was the best student in Sim State University in her Sophomore year, having an average of 16. She lives in a private house with her two friends, Allegra Gorey and Martin Ruben. The household's information says that the reason the three live in a private home is to "escape the craziness of campus life."

As a Cancer, Jane has a balanced personality, though she is on the shy and serious side. She is mostly interested in School, Weather, Animals, and the Environment; her least favorite topics are Fashion, Sports, and Sci-Fi. In order to improve her class performance this semester, she must gain 3 skill points in logic.

Jane's biography hints that she has a crush on Urele-Oresha-Cham fraternity member Castor Nova. Despite this hint, she is the only moved-in female Sim in the neighborhood not to display a crush on Castor in her relationship panel at the beginning of the game, although she is his closest female friend.

Like several other Sims from Sim State University, Jane starts with no gender preference. She is 45 hours away from the final exam in her fifth semester, when the Bright household is first played. When editing in SimPE, Jane's zodiac sign is not recognized.

Strangely, when her relationships are viewed in SimPE, Jane recognizes Aiden Reamon as a relative, but the relation type is undetermined. Aiden does not recognize Jane as family, nor does he even know her. She also recognizes Sam as her daughter, and vice versa. The reasons for these unlikely family connections are unexplained, but there are a few other playable Sims from University that have these sorts of quirks.
