Boar

Boars are a type of NPC animal introduced in The Sims 2: Castaway.
In the Sims universe, boars are defined as hairy, wild suids with large, protuding tusks. Unlike other animals, they cannot be interacted with, nor can they be kept as pets. When they appear, they primarily wander around the perimeter unbothered.

Boars are typically found in the River Plains in Airplane Island, as well as near the volcano summit in Volcano Island. They usually roam around the area before disappearing into the next travel zone. A grunting noise can be heard when they are nearby.
Boars will not always attack nearby Sims, but they may be aggravated if a Sim encroaches on its personal space. If their aggression is triggered, a thought bubble depicting the boar will appear over the offending Sim's head, whom they will proceed to charge into.
To hunt a boar, a Sim must be wielding a weapon (typically a spear) and have a high body skill; the ensuring fight will be obscured by a brown cloud of smoke. Winning the fight nets the active Sim boar hide and tusks to craft with, which are automatically sent to their inventory, while a separate slice of ham will be available to pick up on the ground. If the Sim loses, they will be laying on the ground, slowing getting up as the boar trots away.
