A bee in The Sims 3: Supernatural, as seen when it flies above a beehive.
Bees are a species of small flying insect found in some Sims games. Wild bees are rare in the games, but bees are farmed inside beehives for honey and beeswax. They can be a major nuisance for a Sim if they decide to sting or swarm the Sim, causing injury to the Sims.
Despite being rare, bee symbolism does occur in the form of clothing and occasional objects.
The Sims: Makin' Magic
The Sims: Makin' Magic has a beehive, whose honey and beeswax can be used as tradeable items or can be sold.
If both Makin' Magic and The Sims: Hot Date are installed, the bees will attack Claire the Bear when she shows up to try to steal honey.
The Sims 2
Swarms of bees can attack a Sim:
- While collecting bugs[TS2:S]
- Having bad luck at certain tours.[TS2:BV]
- If the Sim views 5 voodoo dolls.[TS2:BV]
- Having bad luck when returning from a hike.[TS2:FT]
- If a witch casts the Mellifera Attackum spell on the Sim.[TS2:AL]

The Sims 3: Supernatural
A werewolf attacked by a bee swarm in from a mailbox fairy trap.
In The Sims 3: Supernatural, bees are farmed in beehives, where they are farmed for liquid honey and for beeswax. Honey is used in certain cooking recipes and as a small bottled snack, while beeswax is used in alchemy elixir making. A Sim who is handling the insides of the beehives can occasionally be attacked by either one bee or a swarm of bees. Being attacked by a swarm gives a -200 moodlet for 15 minutes, tied with "On Fire" for the most negatively scoring moodlet in the game, but does not have any lethal or long-term effects. Butlers[TS3:LN] will often try to handle the beehives, and often get attacked by bee swarms due to that.
A fairy with Fairy Magic hidden skill level 8 or higher can cast a fairy trap on a mailbox (excluding the Late Night penthouse wallbox). The next Sim who opens the mailbox will get attacked by bees.
Toad Sims can choose to eat bees that fly above beehives. They do not risk being attacked, and vegetarian Toad Sims have no issues with eating bees. The interaction's name says "Eat Flies", though zooming in on the visual effects above the beehives imply it is in fact bees they eat.
In contrast to almost all other flying insects in the game, they cannot be collected by means of bug collecting. They share this distinction with mosquitos.[TS3:IP]
The Sims 4
The Sims 4: Outdoor Retreat
In The Sims 4: Outdoor Retreat, bees can be collected through bug collecting. They are ranked as Common, can be found during most hours except for during the night, and have a base value of §4.

The Sims 4: Seasons
In The Sims 4: Seasons, beehives return, and can once again be farmed for honey. They are fully domesticated compared to in earlier games, as they will not try to attack the main Sim who interacts with them. A collected bee swarm can in fact be used to play with, and to send gifts and messages to another Sim. Optionally, the swarm's owner can instruct the bee swarm to attack another Sim. Bees will also autonomously try to pollinate any gardening plants that are near the beehives.
If both Seasons and The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle is installed, beehives can be farmed for wax blocks for use in candle making.
The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure

In The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure, wild bees are encountered in the Jungle District of Selvadorada, and (through the "Creepy Crawlies" lot challenge) on the Hillview Hideaway residential lot in the Puerto Llamante Marketplace neighborhood in Selvadorada. Those bees can pose a much bigger danger to a Sim than the Outdoor Retreat and Seasons ones, and are known to cause poisoning if they sting the Sim, which will either get better after 12 in-game hours or get worse. If it gets worse (which can be identified by the Sim getting a +6 Dazed moodlet), the Sim will die 1 day and 8 hours after getting the moodlet, unless an antidote for it is bought for §1,000 at a computer.

Other appearances
Bee-themed clothing has appeared in a few games:
In The Sims Medieval, a Jacoban priest can place a propaganda proclamation on a board outside the Yacothia cathedral. One of the possible proclamations claim that "Any Jacoban follower who fails to recognize the Proxy's birthday will be destroyed by bees. (...)".
