Uncomfortable
Uncomfortable is an emotion available in The Sims 4. It generally occurs when Sims have low needs, has bad surrounding or experiences other uncomfortable situations. This emotion will evolve into Very Uncomfortable with enough moodlet points, which is generally caused by having very low needs or having multiple Uncomfortable moodlets. Toddlers and infants who have low needs will become Angry or Sad instead (depending on their trait). Uncomfortable Sims are unable to perform certain activities.[which?] Sims cannot build skills when Very Uncomfortable.

- Lazy (Lifestyle Trait): Sims with this trait may become uncomfortable when exercising.
- Snob (Social Trait): Sims with this trait will become uncomfortable on nearby furnishings made from fabricated materials. [TS4:EL]
- Neat (Lifestyle Trait): Sims with this trait will be even more uncomfortable by being near messy things.
- Glutton (Lifestyle Trait): Sims with this trait will be even more uncomfortable when hungry.
- Jealous (Social Trait): Sims with this trait can easily get Jealous Pangs and become uncomfortable as a result.
- Grouch (Social Trait): Sims with this trait will become uncomfortable when surrounded with other Sims.
- Squeamish[TS4:OR] (Emotional Trait): Sims with this trait are easily made uncomfortable by dirty things.
- Unflirty[TS4:CL] (Emotional Trait): Sims with this trait will become uncomfortable after witnessing romance or failing a romance.
- Child of the ocean (Lifestyle Trait): Sims with this trait will become uncomfortable when eating a meal containing fish. [TS4:IL]
- Freegan[TS4:EL] (Lifestyle Trait): Sims with this trait will become uncomfortable when they are active on careers.
- Proper[TS4:SE] (Social Trait): Sims with this trait will become uncomfortable when quitting a career.
- High maintenance[TS4:SD] (Emotional Trait): Sims with this trait may become uncomfortable after using a toilet, sitting, or after using a facial mask.
- Generous[TS4:FR] (Social Trait): Sims with this trait will be uncomfortable when talking to Mean or Evil Sims.

- Fizzy Plasma juice (Plasma Fruit[TS4:V]) while not being a Vampire [TS4:EL]

- Strenuous activity after working out or WooHooing (Elders only, will result in death by overexertion if continuing to perform strenuous activities)
- Being on a crowded lot while having a Fear of Crowded Places

- Performing a search on every prisoner in the detective career [TS4:GTW]
- Having been burned by bonfires [TS4:GT][TS4:IL][TS4:WW]
- Using "party bushes" as a toilet or taking a nap [TS4:GT][TS4:JA][TS4:SE][TS4:WW]
- Stepping on dog poop [TS4:C&D]
- Being near a pet sprayed by a skunk [TS4:C&D]
- Clearing out vines using hands (Sims with low Gardening skill have a higher likelihood of becoming uncomfortable) [TS4:JA]
- Suffering from the Transmissible Rodent Disease (first and second stage only, the final stage will become dazed) [TS4:MFPS]
- Suffering from CelebuSerum withdrawal [TS4:GF]
- Suffering the side effect of drinking a Potion of Forced Friendship [TS4:ROM]
- Experiencing magical overload (Spellcasters only; will result in death by Spellcaster Overload if the Spellcaster Charge is at Overcharged state) [TS4:ROM]
- Anticipating the final exam (may also get tense in some circumstances) [TS4:DU]
- Failing to override a supply crate [TS4:JTB]
- Failing to slice the control panel, causing system overload (Sims with low Programming skill are more likely to fail) [TS4:JTB]
- Injuring self (such as being crushed by a vending machine, injured from snowboarding[TS4:SE], skiing[TS4:SE] rock climbing[TS4:SE], and from afterschool activity[TS4:HSY] events)

Careers and jobs
No careers benefit from the Sim being uncomfortable or have it as their ideal emotion.
